On June 15, Christian Action Network (CAN) filed a “friend of the court” brief to overturn a federal court ruling upholding Islamic indoctrination programs in the public schools. CAN is based in Forest, VA.

The spreading threat of children being indoctrinated into Islam claimed new ground in West Virginia to the shock of parents in and around Gerrardstown last month. What broke the controversy was the courageous stand by a dad whose seventh-grade daughter came home with a thick learning packet on Islam.

A student and her father who brought a federal lawsuit against a Maryland public school district, alleging that it compelled the student to “profess” tenets of Islam and be subjected to Islamic indoctrination at school, have lost the first round in court.

In a landmark ruling Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court castigated a state civil rights commission and ruled 7-2 that a baker’s religious beliefs were violated. The ruling in "Masterpiece Cake Shop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission" has a clear message: the religious beliefs of merchants must be respected.

A memorial to 49 soldiers of World War I is on the block for possible destruction in the name of separation of church and state, but it stands tall in the hearts of Bladensburg, Maryland residents, for now. Ask them about their town’s famous monument, the Peace Cross, one would not be able to tell that it has become the subject of controversy. It still stands, for now, and according to the American Legion that built it nearly 100 years ago, they will host a Memorial Day ceremony there at 11 a.m., Monday.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has once again come under fire, along “Amazon Smile,” for its anti-Christian targeting, this time by a prominent Christian legal scholar whose organization he said was slandered. Mike Farris of the Alliance Defending Freedom joins other Christian organization leaders who are calling out the SPLC as a far-left partisan group that uses slander against organizations they disagree with.

A homosexual Facebook page has claimed victory after a Christian bridal shop in Bloomsburg, PA was forced to shut down. Owners of W.W. Bridal Boutique closed its doors at the end of March, claiming it could no longer safely stay in business after it received numerous threats that its owners would be killed, their children raped and their business burned to the ground.

A briefing hosted by the Christian Action Network (CAN) on October 11, 2017 called, “Islam in the Schools: A National Awakening,” was delivered before a packed and enthusiastic audience at the Hampton Inn & Suites near Dulles Airport. Participants not only watched CAN’s new documentary film called, “Islam in the Schools,” but were given sample Islamic worksheets that students are required to complete in various schools across the nation.
